IKEBANA IKENOBO INDONESIA (i3)
in collaboration with HANI SANTANA.
This year, the Hadiprana Gallery requested an emerging artist native of Cilacap who resides at Jogya, Hani Santana and Ikebana Ikenobo Indonesia (i3) community to join forces in celebrating the 66th year of Japanese & Indonesian friendship. This synergy between the two cultures and art forms created a harmony that reflects nature’s beauty. Friends, family, and art lovers went to see the Ikebana Ikenobo flower arrangements in synergy with Hani Santana’s spiritual paintings. For the first time, guests can enjoy the elegance of Ikebana's sacred arrangements and Hani Santana’s personal views on nature.
On top of the exhibition, the Ikebana Ikenobo Indonesia community and the Women’s International Club held a charity auction to support children and education. Ten dresses were made and designed by Sensei Lusy Wahyudi for this auction, all sold out for donations.
For the second day, Ikebana Ikenobo Indonesia held a public art workshop led by Sensei Lily H Sutanto and Yohanes Wempy. They introduced the free-style arrangements of Ikebana called Jiyuka. Many who came were impressed by how the flowers bring peace and serenity when put together correctly. The event was a great example of how two worlds can partner to preserve art and help those in need.
