The piece is about being together. Figures dressed in Javanese, Chinese and modern styles are symbolic of a wide variety of customs that unite in togetherness, grateful by serving the Tumpeng rice. The laughing protruding teeth or “tonggos” are the identity of the painter’s icon to depict a down-to-earth and unpretentious figure.
