The creation of this painting is as a form of support from the painter when Kebaya is currently struggling to be recognized as a World Heritage by UNESCO. The hope is for the Kebaya to follow the Wayang Kulit, which was the first recognized by UNESCO to become a world cultural heritage. UNESCO referred to Wayang Kulit as a performing art deeply rooted in Indonesian culture.
